Thursday, 14 June 2012

The DV Signage design team recently got the opportunity to install a 2x2 55” super narrow bezel video wall into a 1970’s woodland Log Cabin.

For minimum impact to the fabric of the building a false wall was created and the displays mounted with a floating finish. A strip of LEDs around the rear side provide the finishing touch to a stunning install in a unique environment.

VideoFlyer : 3G Media Update

Thursday, 14 June 2012

Hugo Boss’s design for their retail unit at Copenhagen Airport’s Duty Free delivers quite a punch. Not only are the two shelving schemes themed in their eye-catching black and red livery - but a free standing video totem gives a dominating impression of their brand ambition.

Video provides an excellent medium for brining life-style brands alive, particularly in the men’s category. Capitalizing on media from other BOSS styled activities, such as fashion shows, sports events and live music, is an excellent way to engage consumers and drive impulse purchases in the Duty Free environment.

For this installation, BOSS have used four different LCD implementations - using DV Signage 10” and 21” VideoFlyer displays with high definition solid state media players and 3G communications to remotely update the content.

Cannon Street Station is a railway terminus in the City of London, bringing commuters into the financial district from the South-East and Kent. In 2010/11 it served 21m passengers, around 40,000 people each rush hour. It is in the newly refurbished Cannon Street that LS Travel Retail, part of the Lagardiere Group and owners of the RELAY Convenience Store Brand, decided to launch their first UK store.

Well known all over the world, but new to the UK market, RELAY wanted their first site to be bold, bright and modern. As a part of their store front design, they implemented DV Signage 46” Window Display products facing out towards the commuters. Not only enticing them into the store with eye-catching animated graphics and daily promotions, but also offering their brand partners a valuable advertising oppportunity.

The 46” DV Signage Window Displays use stunning 1080p HD LCD displays and have built-in highly robust solid state digital signage players. The displays connect wirelessly to the internet and RELAY is able to change the promotional messaging and check the displays at the touch of a button.

With everything integrated into a single enclosure, the Window Displays were easy to install, with just a single power cable housed within the ceiling mounting pole. They have excellent brightness, they use industrial grade electronics and deliver reliable 24/7 performance. The displays were sold with the user-friendly DV-Studio Playlist & Internet update software application and DV Signage is on-hand to assist Relay with media and content creation.
